Events are an important part of the Institute and provide a good opportunity to maintain current thinking in terms of best practice, keep up-to-date with new regulation relating to operational risk and provide an opportunity for meeting and exchanging ideas with other industry professionals.

As a minimum, we look to arrange 4 main seminars throughout the year.  These will be full day events (including lunch) and have been very well received by members, are practical in nature, which ensures that time is well spent on the day.

In addition other, more specialised meetings will take place during the year, typically of 2 hour duration, covering specific areas and topics that members wish to discuss.

We welcome your comments and ideas in regard to topics for future discussion and indeed if you would like to present a topic, please also let us know.

Chatham House Rule 

To make the Seminars as productive as possible they are held under the Chatham House Rule. Attendees are free to use the information from the meetings on the understanding that the identity and affiliation of speakers and of any organisations the speakers refer to are not disclosed unless such information is already in the public domain.

Prospective attendees must consider this stipulation prior to attending and attendance is considered to be consent.

We find that this encourages open and frank discussion and is an important factor in the high quality of our gatherings.
