Application
In order to apply for membership of The Institute of Operational Risk, it is necessary to download the Membership Application form (available from the link below).
The form is to be completed in full and emailed to membershipapplication@ior-institute.org along with a comprehensive and current CV. It is important to ensure that you have supplied the contact details for two (2) business references who we can contact to confirm your experience and professionalism.
Your Application for membership will be reviewed by two senior members of the Institute after which you will be contacted by the Institute and informed of the outcome of your application.
The Institute reserves the right to call any applicant for an interview either by telephone or face-to face. The appointment of a Fellow of the Institute is in the gift of the Institute itself. If, in the view of the membership stream, an Applicant may have the right experience and profile to be awarded the rank of Fellow, the Applicant will be called for an interview with two Fellows of the Institute.
The appropriate fees must be paid before membership can be awarded. However, no payment should be sent with the initial membership application. If successful, an invoice will be forwarded and you will be notified of your grade entitlement.
On acceptance you will also receive an Institute certificate and Institute pin - to wear with pride!
