The crisis has raised some very important issues for our roles and what we do for our firms. Operational and Strategic Risk events lay behind much of the causes of the sub-prime losses and consequences of the contagion through credit markets. Members looked at the implications of how we undertake operational risk management and how we can do more to keep senior management informed about emerging vulnerabilities. At a perfect venue within the boardroom of WestLB's london offices a good and lively debate was conducted, prompted by first class industry speakers.
