The England & Wales Chapter of the Institute of Operational Risk is pleased to invite you to its upcoming event on May 21stThe theme of this event is Current and Future challenges for operational risk managers.  The event will be made up of two presentations and a panel discussion with audience Q&A throughout. Our speakers are Tom Osborne (Risk.net) who will talk about their latest annual operational risk survey and Patrick McConnell (Visiting Fellow, Maquarie University Applied Finance Centre), who will talk about the global analysts settlement as the first big multi-bank operational risk and system-wide conduct event. The panel will then explore the themes raised by the two speakers and address more generally the challenges facing operational risk managers. 
We are grateful to our corporate member RBS for hosting the event and to our speakers for making the time to present their views.

  • 5.00pm: Global Analysts Settlement and Systemic Operational Risk – Patrick McConnell 
  • 5.45pm: Risk.net survey of top 10 operational risks 2018 – approach and results – Tom Osborne
  • 6.15pm: Panel on Current and Future Challenges for Operational Risk Managers. Chaired by Tom Osborne. Panel Participants include: Patrick McConnell, Mark Spicknell (RBS Head of Operational Risk), Tony Blunden (Head of Consulting, Chase Cooper) and Michael Grimwade (International Head of Operational Risk, MUFG Securities).

The event will be free to Members but charged to Non-Members for a fee of £50 other than guests of our chairman, sponsor and speakers. Please book below.
