Summary:
In this IOR England & Wales Chapter event, we will explore two important aspects of risk governance:
- Chris Burt, from The Risk Coalition, will discuss The Risk Coalition Initiative and its outcome ‘Raising the Bar’ which provides ‘principles-based guidance for board risk committees and risk functions in the UK Financial Services sector’
- Carolyn Williams CMIRM, from the IRM, will follow by analysing the IRM’s new publication: How to hire a great Chief Risk Officer.
We will then host an interactive panel session exploring broader issues, such as; how should the effectiveness of risk governance be measured? How can operational risk management provide maximum value in the board room? What do you think are the main challenges for CROs and the board from the regulator’s focus on operational resilience?
