The IOR is pleased to present its Annual Lecture at 6.30pm for 7pm on 16 February 2012.
“Living with Political Risk:
Regulation, Revolution and the Euro”
The Distinguished Lecturer is Lord Malloch Brown
Lord Malloch Brown is Chairman of FTI Consulting, EMEA, and an Expert in international political and economic developments. In his career he has been a Government Minister, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, and Vice President of the World Bank. At the United Nations he was involved in more war situations at once than the UK has been. He brings great insight to the strong forces at work in finance and business, and much closer to home than some of those wars.
|Attendance at the AGM is open to all members. Members are encouraged to attend, not least to vote for your Directors on the Council of the Institute, replacing retirees. Nomination Papers will be distributed shortly.|
Every time we think things are getting more predictable in our business environment, new events demonstrate the danger of such assumptions. Lord Malloch Brown, who has operated in more political risks than most, will consider what we’ve learned from the last year and set out what the next year could hold.
Anyone concerned at preparing their organisation for an uncertain future needs to listen to what Lord Malloch Brown has to say to the Institute.
The Lecture is free to members. However registration will still be needed. Please click here for a booking form.
