Moving Risk Management From Managing Events to
Managing Uncertainties
Manoj Kulwal, Chief Risk Officer, RiskSpotlight
Traditional risk management has been about anticipating events
with negative impacts and implementing controls to prevent
such events and minimise their impacts. In this session, Manoj
will propose an alternative approach to managing risks by
focussing on identifying and managing uncertainties. Focusing
on managing uncertainties can make risk management a more
dynamic and value add activity for organisation as it can not only
support value protection objectives but also contribute to value
creation objectives of the organisation.
