In association with RiskBusiness International, the Institute of Operational Risk is organising a webinar on risk culture.

The webinar will look at the recent sound practice guidance paper that was published by the Institute and will cover issues such as:

The nature, scope and importance of risk culture within operational risk management

  • Monitoring risk culture
  • Controlling and changing risk culture
  • Regulating risk culture thoughts on the recent guidance from the Financial Stability Board

Participation in the webinar is free to all IOR members. The webinar will take place at 08:00 British Summer Time (GMT+1) on the 4th April 2014. To register for a place please click the link below.

 

Webinar Participants: Dr Simon Ashby and Mike Finlay

The webinar will be led by Dr Simon Ashby, Chairman of the IOR and an expert on the subject of risk culture. Simon was one of the authors of the IOR¹s Sound Practice Guidance Paper on Risk Culture; he also recently completed a major research project on ŒRisk Culture in Financial Organisations with colleagues from the London School of Economics (Download Risk culture Report) Simon is also an Associate Professor at the Plymouth Business School.

Joining Simon will be Mike Finlay, Vice-Chair of the IOR and CEO of RiskBusiness International Limited, who has worked with numerous banks, asset managers and insurers around the world in establishing and maintaining a desirable risk culture.
